Mediation is a non-adversarial method of alternative dispute resolution in which a neutral third party helps to resolve a dispute. The mediator does not have the power to make a decision on the matter or order an outcome. If a satisfactory resolution cannot be reached, the parties involved can pursue a lawsuit.
Mediation is part of our practice. We are regularly asked to help a divorcing or divorced couple to work out their differences concerning alimony, child custody, visitation and division of property.
In some cases, we use mediation or arbitrage to resolve financial cases as well.
To save our clients the time and money of a lawsuit, AdvintA ∞ Consulting first examines the possibility of mediation in disputes which meet the preconditions.
In certain cases, also the court in Indonesia can order mediation to provide parties the opportunity to come to an amicable settlement before resorting to a lawsuit.
